Decolonize Pussy Power AP 4/5
This woodblock and monotype edition depicts a creature that is has qualities along the gender spectrum, embracing both the feminine and the masculine. The figure is touching it’s own body. This print series was the first time I began to have a defined and unique style to the marks I created with ink rollers upon the paper (also known as brayers). In my printmaking process, I “paint” an image with rollers, smudges, wipe-aways, and repetitive motions that can only be done with printmaking tools. Each print in this edition has a unique monotype consisting of 4-6 ink drops. This limited edition was printed and editioned at Rhode Island School of Design Editions.
